The Chinese have achieved the modern day miracle by lifting 200 million people from poverty into a dazzling middle class which is the envy of the world. That is the example before the Khan. This is the goal that is the dream of every Pakistani wishing Imran Khan success so that their lot can be bettered.

However we have been thrown crumbs by two families who have reaped tens of billions of dollars a piece and are managing to enjoy their ill gotten wealth, without any shame or discomfort. More billionaires have been created in Pakistan in a shorter time than anywhere in the world. However none of them can show a money trail showing that the entire monies are of dubious origin. Some manage to play polo at Oxford without showing how their horses were paid for. That is the shameful conundrum facing Pakistan.

If Imran Khan continues with his plaintive pleas that he can’t do this, he can’t do that - It should be very clear that 200 million people do not understand this explanation from the Prime Minister of Pakistan. There is no martial law enforcement that a Prime Minister can overrule. He must order the arrest of Zardari failing which the Supreme Court judge should be ask to give an explanation in 24 hours as to why arrests have not been done.

The DG NAB and DG FIA are not been able to arrest Zardari and should themselves be in prison for this shocking display of incompetence. Zardari has successfully manipulated the entire NAB and FIA systems and enjoyed a well heeled freedom while 200 million people look on in their suffering. There is no involvement of time. The order of arrests are immediate as the charges are already in existence.

If anything the Supreme Court judge must be ordered to implement the arrest immediately. The Supreme Court should not accept any excuses. The government of Pakistan should state categorically that no excuses and no delays will be allowed by the order of the government of Pakistan. The Supreme Court must endorse compliance to the orders of the Government of Pakistan. Instead of finding reasons/excuses for non compliance. The orders of the government of Pakistan have been after the appropriate judicial enquiries scrutinised and declared valid for execution. For the Supreme Court to countermand the orders of the government of Pakistan will show that the organs of state of Pakistan are not acting in concert but are at loggerheads. This has led to the present impasse with the Prime Minister Imran Khan’s government unable to function. The Supreme Court cannot continue to defy the elected Prime Minister of Pakistan. This Prime Minister is not corrupt unlike Sharif who ordered the attacks on the Supreme Court of Pakistan under the Chief Justice Shujaat Ali Shah.

Shocking that assault on the Supreme Court went unpunished. In this instance cases against the same Nawaz Sharif are being delayed and he was allowed to leave Pakistan while serving a seven year jail sentence. The Supreme Court must examine itself and perform in the interest of its conscience and that of the country.

Pakistan expects the Supreme Court to be on the same side of our honest Prime Minister. Two hundred million people depend on your assisting Prime Minister Imran Khan in his efforts to make Pakistan a law abiding nation. Without the judiciary acting in a manner that defies logic and legality. The Chief Justice must grasp this opportunity to create a new Pakistan by strengthening the resolve of Imran Khan while he must revisit all the decisions taken by Iftikhar Chaudhary that has brought Pakistan to this judicial crises by his decisions in favour of Nawaz sharif in the PIA hijacking case which has seriously undermined this superior judiciary by the precedent set by them. The Supreme Court of Pakistan is well above these low marks set by the Nawaz judiciary. The Supreme Court is a pillar of state with no bias towards any political party. They are to ensure that the law is to be obeyed by the courts and interpret the law when any confusion arises. This is a very serious and heavy responsibility. The Chief Justice is well equipped with the knowledge and expertise to handle these onerous duties.
