With the exception of Imran Khan the politicians have not realized that there is a new game in town. While the PML N scramble for their NRO, the world has moved on. The Americans have been soundly defeated by the Afghans who are now promoted to the best warriors in the world having defeated the British, The Russians, now the US and the NATO forces combined with no new weapons and without military boots. They wear the Peshawari chappals recently made fashionable by Imran Khan who wore them to his White House meet with Trump.

They defeated the American soldier clad in the most sophisticated military gear. The Afghan wore his chappals shalwar kameez and sneakers stolen from the Yankee soldiers compound. The laser sites were never used. The Afghan still managed to beat the Americans, as he had beaten the Russians earlier. The Afghan has earned the title of the best warrior in history better than the Viet Cong even. The Afghan had no jungle to hide in. His best cover was a rock or the terrain itself, of which he became part.

The sight of the US commander bemedalled of course, sitting across the table from his visit negotiating with the mullahs must have made Hollywood cringe at the disparity, and the futility in adding glamour to the mix. Not even the best of Hollywood could make the Taliban fashionable, or cloak the fighter. His wore no medals and had beaten the best and the American generals were putting their signatures to this effect. The Israelis should realise it is not the weapons you carry but the motivation, the man not the medals.

Also the Afghan was fighting for his land, as are the Palestinians. That is the ultimate motivation - the mother land. I have seen copies of the earliest Bible showing maps of Palestine. The state of Israel did not exist on paper, they lived with the Palestinians. The new arrangement being made with the Taliban and their hard earned victory will not become a part of a corrupt poor society like Pakistan under the PPP and the PML N. Their war was fought on ideals, which they will not give up with a Nawaz Sharif or Asif Zardari. Pakistan would welcome the Taliban model, as it could be more effective than the Chinese one bullet strategy.

That is the dream of Imran Khan and will be saving bullets. The judges would soon be amongst the best in the world. Imran’s dream is closer than he thinks. Pakistan is not missing quality leadership. It is in our midst. There are rumours that air bases may be granted to the US. This begs the question. Air bases against who, the Chinese ? The only real friends we have. We cannot allow the Americans to encircle China. Not from Pakistani soil. The Chinese have been steadfast in their friendship unlike our neighbour Arabs who are only now realising our true value, when they are staring a greater Israel in the making, carved out of Arabian soil.

Imran Khan and the Pakistan Army are the only plausible defence against the greater Israel plan. The Pakistani people will fight to the last to prevent such a plan from succeeding. Imran Khan is also the only Pakistani, the Afghans look up to and will be giving Narender Modi nightmares, for it is India that could be encircled and not China. The politics of the region certainly looks different. It is borders that will be defended and not long distance threats.

We Pakistanis for our part must remain vigilant for the political leadership has a propensity to barter away our valuable assets regardless of the ensuing danger this arrangement would make. Bhutto sold East Pakistan to fulfill his dream of becoming Prime Minister. This monumental crime cost us half the country, and the traitor leaves a family that lives on and is re- elected in spite of his blunders. The Bhutto legend continues despite his treachery.
