Sabir Shakir in his program stated that Muhammad Zubair went for a meeting with General Javed Bajwa and General Faiz Hameed and a disscusion took place between Zubair and the generals.
The three questions raised were.
1.He asked the Army to assist in the removal of an elected Imran Khan as PM. 2.He asked for the cases to be dropped against the PML N. 3.The cases against PPP to be also dropped.
If this is true then charges of mutiny, and sedition and of course treason can be brought against the messenger Mohammad Zubair.
These are charges so serious that the death penalty can also be invoked. The Chief did well, but not well enough that he should have been arrested under the Army Act where he was inviting a serving officer to commit sedition.
The Chief of Army Staff should ask the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court to rule on the treason that May have been committed. The supreme should be asked to decide. These are not Frivolous matters, neither are these true offices occupied by school boys.
Surely a three time Prime Minister knows the law. The Supreme Court knows and the Army chief knows the action that would have to be taken if one of his junior officers was caught making such a proposal.
Sedition and treason are not matters to be trifled with. The Army Chief should have acted according to the Army rules.
Even Muhammad Zubair carrying the treasonous message makes the carrier liable to conspiracy to treason.
Imran Khan will be failing in his duty as PM if he does not take action. The Supreme Court should also act.
For it is obvious that the PML-N is determined to not allow an elected government to function Or finish its term. Hence the frequent trips and requests to GHQ. The PML N considers itself above the law.
The Supreme Court must take action, also any of our Arab neighbors who offer support should be told that this would be considered an unfriendly act by the people The Army command has done well to
send a message of non interference.
What may have been better would have been the arrest of the messengers of the treasonous proposal.
Democracy can never survive if punters keep fishing to topple an elected government.
Nawaz Sharif must be taught that sedition comes at a price.
Nawaz Sharif cannot be allowed to get away again. The foreign collaborators must be made to understand the risks involved in such a conspiracy.
Can you imagine asking the sentry to help nail Her Majesty The Queen when she next passes through the Buckingham Palace gate. The Sharifs continued to treat Pakistan as a vassal state keeping themselves above the law.
The supreme court must now decide the penalty for such attempts at dislodging an elected government through “invitations” to a military intervention.
It is evident that the turnip never realises the risks involved. He still does not get it. Mohammad Zubair knows full well.
He realizes it is not a hen party and his brothers Though ministers in the PTI would lend no support if the coup failed.
The PTI government should confirm to the foreign embassies that are in touch with Nawaz Sharif in London to stop these activities as he is a declared criminal absconder by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The alleged support to Nawaz Sharif in these meetings are an unfriendly act to the people of Pakistan.
These countries ( mostly Arabs ) should be made to understand that interference in Pakistani affairs especially the call for a military coup is a dangerous game.
The repercussion on fragile monarchies is too obvious to spell out.
The glitter and glamour of these Arab city-states can vanish in an instant. Israeli presence notwithstanding.
If the western countries show their support for Nawaz Sharif it should be made clear to them that the Pakistani people not the Sharifs are guarantors of free passage of oil to Europe.
This point should be considered carefully by the European governments and be reminded of the long queues for petrol when the blockade of this oil happened during the Kuwait crisis.
That nightmare should not be forgotten so easily.
The Europeans should realise that the continued presence of Nawaz Sharif in London is a threat to the UK economy.
Does Whitehall not see the danger of allowing Nawaz Sharif to continue his foolish game ?
