The Insult to Jinnah
Published on October 19th, 2020

The Nawaz League has succeeded in breaking all records of hooliganism, and have only the criminality of the MQM left to match.

This was not done because the Quaid’s Mazar is treated as hallowed ground by all parties. But they were so carried away in their awe of their leader Nawaz that their behaviour at the Mazar went beyond the bounds of politics. This was fascism at its most raw.

As an offensive act, they have succeeded in upsetting millions of Pakistanis that have for generations revered the Quaid for giving us this Pakistan and the pride to call ourselves Pakistanis. To thus witness the desecration of his tomb by a motley collection of hoodlums, was to force many loyal Pakistanis to hang their heads in shame.

What is now certain is that the Nawaz mindset is no longer acceptable, and cannot co-exist within Pakistan. Democracy is a far cry. The Nawaz league has no goal, and power is their aim at any cost. The lies and thievery are all gambits with one aim—power.

Even Altaf at his worst never reached such depths. This was a collection of motorway rapists doing their worst on a public stage. The Noon league deserves to be banned from politics.

Attacking the Army of Pakistan will prove to be suicidal and the effects will soon become evident. The consequences are sure. The disgraceful behaviour at the Mazar where the mortal remains of our Quaid lie defenceless and is silent observer to the people he gave a name to—one they should have been proud of. This behaviour and that too at the Quaid’s tomb should remove them from any claim to be Pakistanis. They should be a given a new identity certainly not as Pakistanis. Altaf for all his idiocies never crossed this line. They deserve a new sobriquet. None base enough comes to mind.

The Sharifs have singled themselves out as non-believers in the Quaid. They forget that the Pakistan Muslim League was a creation of Jinnah and the slogan for the creation of Pakistan. Nawaz needs to relearn history as either his memory is lacking or his intention to insult Pakistanis is confusing his thought process. Either way, he is setting new levels of politics bordering on fascism.
He tricked his way to the Prime Minister’s chair three times. He has now ensured his own defeat.

The saner elements of the Muslim League would do well to revisit their strategies. Outlandish slogans and loutish behaviour are a handicap even in the short term. If indeed, the PML is to survive it must exercise its current methods and leadership. It cannot survive in this vein any longer.

The attack on the Pakistan Army and the disgraceful behaviour at the Quaid’s Mausoleum are two examples of Nawaz being suicidal or insane—or both.
Nawaz has declared himself liable to criminal prosecution and certainly unfit to rule.
