No Mercy

Pakistan must join the Chinese train of disciplined progress.
Unfortunately, Islamabad is being run by a consortium of looters who control and direct the policies of the day.
The sugar scam, the wheat scam and the power scam are clear proof of the strength of this mafia that controls the functioning of the state.

This lines the pockets of the few at the expense of the many and negates the efforts of our honest Imran Khan to succeed. Unless he takes action against these mafias, there is no hope for Pakistan.

In an earlier article I had stated that this power mafia has already siphoned two Bhasha dams in over payment alone. The army should take notice and join, oblige and push Imran Khan into prosecution of these IPP thieves who continue to rob under the garb of legal issues.

There is no legal issue if the contract is against public policy. There is no need for discussion or foreign arbitration.

The government’s decision on the power rates is final. The IPPs, if they want to continue should price their power at 3-4 rupees per kilo watt hour.

The assets of the IPPs should be immediately sequestered and put into a pool without compensation to the owners who have now been over paid four times more than they are due and thus should be prosecuted and jailed for acting against the state.

These eleven companies have succeeded in driving our exporters out of the world markets. Our factories cannot compete against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka on these bloated power structures.

The suffering of the citizens due to massive load shedding is of the same cause. For too long have they hidden power theft by the kunda losses, instead it is the IPPs who are responsible for the power losses.

The sugar scam and wheat crisis are seasonal. These IPP thieves are a problem that is suffocating the country on a daily basis. The Supreme Court can and must take Suo Moto action against this power problem and act decisively as they have shown they can. The future of the country and of Imran Khan’s government relies on this one action. There is no need for a long, legal discourse.

The price should be fixed at four rupees to the customer with no additional charges like East Pakistan Flood Relief fund etc. These 4 rupees per kilo watt hour should be a net charge to a consumer.

This one action can bring prosperity to Pakistan and comfort to the people. For too long have we been hostage to these cruel Shylocks who have taken their pound of flesh at the expense of Pakistan.

This is a greater robbery than the Sharif Zardari combine and it is continuing daily.
The one bullet policy of China should be applied here.
The IPPs have inflicted misery on 200 million consumers and have shown no mercy and so deserve none.
