Appeal to Prime Minister Pakistan Imran Khan. I have been an admirer of yours for many years now. Even before you won the World Cup for Pakistan, I believed in you. When you won the cup we watched fascinated every moment of the game, culminating in the victory that you bought us.
I have never doubted your ability to succeed in any venture you may have chosen.
Your choice of applying yourself in the establishment of a cancer hospital was hugely ambitious for a third world country like ours, to support a high tech facility to treat cancer with the accompanying advanced technique in the procedure involved.
Yet you succeeded and proved that Pakistan is capable of providing first world results from a backward, impoverished country. When in 1998 we discussed your entering politics, I had suggested at the time that Nawaz would be a fit partner for you to join. But you had refused by saying how corrupt the Muslim League was at the time, you were right. However I think you may have been able to control the corruption and may be even stop it.
The choice was yours and though it took another thirty years to arrive at the Prime Minister ship of the Pakistan, you managed to achieve the unthinkable. Today you are Prime Minister of Pakistan. You are surrounded by the most corrupt citizens, many convicted of serious crimes. The most dangerous being involved in the murder of a Prime Minister with no proper investigation. Earlier a sitting prime minister’s brother was gunned down outside his house in the early evening using state machinery.
For a country that has achieved nuclear capability, it is indeed shocking that such crimes can be committed with no justice seen to be done. We waited a long time for you to take the reins of power but are astonished by your inability to bring the culprits to book. The looting of the exchequer continued.
Now your Prime Ministership is being threatened by the status quo establishment blaming you for the spiralling price rise. You are advised to take steps to immediately bring down three prices. Halve the petrol prices, Drop the electricity prices, drop the flour prices and making the hoarding of flour a crime punishable by fourteen years. This is what the people would wish of you, you are duty bound to deliver these three price reductions as this will indeed give the public a measure of respite and something they would be grateful for.
After that, you should dissolve the assemblies and remove the parasites dwelling therein from their manipulation of the so called “Democratic Positions” which are in effect the controls of massive corruption. Appoint an interim cabinet of seven people without any persons of dubious background. Surely the intelligence agencies can give you five such people. But none of this will work unless you immediately dissolve the assemblies with no appeal to any court.
The people of Pakistan are truly behind you and would support such a move. You are a brave man, capable for such a brave step. The people pray that you take this as your contribution to a New Pakistan.
