We Pakistanis are indeed lucky to have Imran Khan as our Prime Minister.
He brings with him immense goodwill and international support, unlike anything we have previously experienced.
However, it seems that his goodwill abroad is not translating into an easier life for the people of Pakistan.
His inability to control the prices of electricity and fuel are amongst the biggest failures.
The argument that the IPPs (Independent Power Producers) are governed by international laws is rubbish, for the owners are all Pakistanis and liable to prosecution under the laws of Pakistan, that specifically govern illegal criminal activities.
For the argument proffered that these contracts were signed by the governments of Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto makes it doubly obvious that they reek of corruption.
